It used to be a Doubletree Hotel before IHG took over. The property has a nice overlook of the pond. It's located less than 10 minutes from the John Wayne airport. The room was fine, but the shower drain was clogged. The maintenance staff quickly took care of it. The staff was nice and friendly and check-in was fast. The hotel has a gym, pool, and hot tub.

I’ve been staying at this hotel since it used to be a DoubleTree by Hilton. Now under a different chain, I want to leave my most honest review. The best thing about this place is definitely its location — right next to a lake where you’ll find ducks and turtles. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, and very safe, which truly adds value to the property. The front desk staff — both men and women — are friendly and empathetic. They deserve five stars for their service. The rooms are comfortable, updated, and still in good condition. In terms of value for money, what you pay is worth what you get. The lobby could use a bit of remodeling, though it’s not urgent. It would just add a nice extra touch. The pool and jacuzzi are in good shape and enjoyable. The only thing I really dislike is the bathroom lighting system. It uses motion sensors that activate every time you walk in — which is very annoying and stressful, especially at night. The LED lights are extremely bright, like being hit by 50 camera flashes. On several occasions, it completely woke me up when I just wanted to use the bathroom quickly and go back to sleep. It’s a small thing, but it breaks the restful atmosphere. Still, I recommend this hotel — especially when the rate is below $140 per night.

I had a wonderful experience at Orange County Hotel. The comfortable rooms and excellent service made my stay enjoyable. The hotel’s convenient location near shops and restaurants is a definite plus. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Newly remodeled hotel. Ample parking. Clean.|Did not eat there to rate. There is a $24 parking fee unless waived when booking or… bummer. East Coast started parking fees and California is following suit. Too expensive of a fee for what it is.

The night shift check in lady was outstanding! I believe her name is Dorothy. I had a horrible experience at motel 6 in Ontario and ended up having to switch hotels at 10pm due to them cancelling my reservation after confirming with me the same day and trying to double the price when I got there later that night, plus they had roaches. I went on Priceline and picked an expressed deal which ended up being this hotel and it was an excellent deal I got. I would’ve never known this hotel existed if it wasn’t for Priceline. Also don’t let the way this hotel looks on the outside fool you, it’s beautiful on the inside. Rooms are all freshly remodeled and very clean. No roaches, no bed bugs no anything. Very clean and beautiful rooms. Even the hallways are clean and very well kept. After having a horrible night and being in tears from the jerk at the other hotel’s check in, Dorothy turned my night around. She went over and beyond to make sure I had the best experience ever and did everything she could to accommodate me and my young child. I’ve never been treated so good at a hotel before. I am a life long customer now and will be telling everyone about this hotel. Thank you Dorothy for everything! Excellent experience!! Very safe for a single mom and child traveling alone. Even felt safe in parking lot. Lots of parking. Beautiful hotel. Plenty of parking. (Parking is $24 a night, $150 incidental deposit at check in)

I was checked into this hotel on September 26th and 27th and accidentally left my jade-stone necklace in the room. I realized it a few days later and called the front desk. The staff patiently told me they had kept it safe for me, and asked for my address so they could mail it to me. really quickly I received my necklace in two days later. I'm very grateful to them and will definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the chance. All the front desk staff were very friendly, especially one the young Vietnamese woman. The hotel is reasonably priced and the the district is safe and quiet.

We got a good deal staying 2 nights probably due to this being Thanksgiving night & after, and location of this hotel is among business buildings…..which made it a quiet area during a holiday week. The environment was nice, other than having to step over duck poops around as its next to a pond. The room was freshly remodeled, clean and comfortable. Location is convenient right by Hwy55. Again it’s surrounded by business buildings and upscale condo buildings. Definitely exceeded our expectations for the price. Would stay here again if the price is right.

I had an extended stay at this property, for my first time staying at a IHG hotel I was very impressed. From the service to daily housekeeping and maintenance staff, everyone does a great job! I’d like to highlight Michelle at the front desk, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay felt like home away from home, I will always remember her kindness, care and top tier service! Josh at the front desk was also very nice and polite, just like Michelle he was very attentive and accommodating to our family’s requests. The amenities are great - clean gym, pool, laundry room and there’s also a pond in front of the hotel where you can walk around and sightsee some cute ducks. All around a great stay, parking is $24 a night along with a $150 incidental fee. Breakfast and evening reception have a price as well.

We had an amazing experience at the new Orange County Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, clean, and well organized. The check-in process did take alot longer than I’m accustomed to but trail and error! The property is beautiful, modern, and extremely comfortable, exactly what we needed while traveling with my pregnant wife and our child. I especially want to thank Antonio for going above and beyond for our family. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. Traveling with a pregnant wife and a child can come with its own set of needs, and Antonio made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. His patience, attentiveness, and positive attitude truly stood out. It’s rare to find service that feels both polished and personal but that’s exactly what we experienced here. We’re very grateful and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!
